Data collected by this website
The site has no forms, accounts, first-party analytics or advertising. GitHub Pages serves the files and may record technical access data under its own policies.
Local storage
If you enable browser alerts, two technical values are stored in localStorage: that alerts are enabled and the last status version already seen. They are not sent to the site operator.
External links
Evidence links open third-party websites such as UKMTO, IMO, MARAD and news organisations. Those websites apply their own policies.
MarineTraffic AIS map
The maritime map is not loaded automatically. Only after you press “Load maritime radar” does the browser connect directly to MarineTraffic, which may receive technical data such as the IP address, browser user agent, referring page and applicable cookies under its own policy. This website does not receive or store the map's data.
Future advertising
No advertisements or advertising cookies are currently used. If advertising is added later, this policy and the consent mechanism must be updated before activation for visitors in the European Economic Area and other applicable jurisdictions.
